Client: Blue Hill Observatory & Science Center, a historic atmospheric science institution in Milton, Massachusetts, known for its continuous weather records dating back to 1885, scientific research, and public education programs.
Challenge: Blue Hill needed a website capable of serving researchers, weather enthusiasts, members, and the general public. It had to present extensive weather information, provide access to live conditions and historical records, promote educational programs, and support membership and merchandise sales.
Solution: We developed a comprehensive website with custom integrations connecting directly to the Observatory’s weather databases, automatically displaying current conditions and historical archives. We integrated live webcams, built an online merchandise store, and developed a membership portal with online payments. The site brings together scientific data, education, and eCommerce in one organized platform.

Researchers and weather enthusiasts can access continually updated information without staff having to manually maintain the data. Visitors can explore the Observatory, watch live conditions, purchase merchandise, and become members online. The website supports Blue Hill’s scientific mission while making its resources and services accessible to a much wider audience.
